Cookie Policy

This policy explains what runamp.com stores on your device, why, and how to change your mind. It applies to everyone who visits the site, wherever you are.
1. Nothing is stored until you choose
When you first arrive, the site stores nothing on your device — no cookie, no browser storage of any kind — and no analytics service is contacted. That stays true until you make a choice in the cookie banner.
If you decline, the only thing stored is the record of that decision, so we do not ask again on every page.
2. What cookies are
A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep, so that something can be remembered between page loads or visits. This policy uses “cookies” as a shorthand that also covers similar storage a site can use for the same purpose, such as localStorage.

Those are the only two cookies. The full name of the PostHog cookie includes our project identifier, so in your browser it appears as ph_phc_7REKwFKJ3n09sRvTPYqby58k8JMFOiD4eSTw87EzGQF_posthog.
Browser storage, in addition to those cookies
If you accept Statistics, PostHog also keeps the same visitor identifier in your browser’s own storage — in localStorage under that same name, and in sessionStorage, which your browser discards when you close the tab. This holds the same generated identifier as the cookie; it is not additional information about you. Clearing cookies and site data for runamp.com in your browser removes all of it.
4. The categories you control
The banner offers four categories. Only the first is on by default, and it is the only one that cannot be switched off.
- Functional — strictly necessary. This is the consent record itself,
cc_cookie. - Preferences — would remember choices you make about how the site is presented. We do not currently use this category, and accepting it stores nothing.
- Statistics — lets us understand how the site is used, in aggregate. Accepting this loads Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC), PostHog (PostHog, Inc.) and Ahrefs Analytics (Ahrefs Pte. Ltd.). Of those, only PostHog stores anything on your device today — the cookie listed above.
- Marketing — would measure how effective our campaigns are. We do not currently place marketing cookies. Accepting it stores nothing, and tells Google that advertising measurement is permitted.
Accepting Statistics means those three services are contacted from your browser, so each receives the address of the page you are on and the network address (IP) and browser identification that accompany any web request — whether or not it stores anything on your device. Declining means they are never contacted at all.
If any of this changes — a new cookie, a new service, a service that starts storing something — we update this page before the change reaches the site.
We do not use cookies for cross-site behavioural advertising, and we do not sell what these tools tell us.
5. Measurement that stores nothing
The site is hosted on Vercel, whose platform includes two measurements from Vercel, Inc.: a page-view counter (Vercel Web Analytics) and a page-speed measurement (Vercel Speed Insights) that records how quickly pages load, how steady they are, and how quickly they respond when you tap or click. Neither stores anything on your device — no cookie, no browser storage — and neither identifies you. Because they store nothing on your device, they are not among the categories in the banner. Our Privacy Policy sets out in full what each one sends, and what our hosting receives as part of serving you a page.
6. Changing your mind
Your choice is not permanent. Select Cookie preferences in the footer of any page to reopen the settings and change any category, at any time.
Turning a category off stops it being loaded from your next page view onwards. It does not, on its own, delete what was already stored: if you turn Statistics off, the PostHog identifier described in section 3 stays on your device until it expires or you remove it. To remove it now, clear cookies and site data for runamp.com in your browser — that clears the cookie, the localStorage entry and the sessionStorage entries together. We are changing the withdrawal step so that it clears them for you, and this page will be updated when it does.
You can also block cookies in your browser’s settings, or set it to warn you before one is placed. If you clear cc_cookie, the site has no record of your decision, so the banner appears again on your next visit.
Blocking the consent record does not break the site — nothing on runamp.com depends on a cookie to function.
7. Your rights
The rights you have over personal information — access, correction, deletion, objection, withdrawing consent, and complaining to a supervisory authority — are set out in full in our Privacy Policy, along with how to exercise them and how long we keep things.
8. Changes to this policy
If we add, remove or change a cookie, we update the table in section 3 and the date at the top of this page before the change reaches the site.
